Build a website
Build a mobile friendly website for [business] serving [customer]. Start with Home, Offer, About, FAQ and Contact. Collect name, phone and email privately with separate optional email and SMS consent. Give only admins access to inquiries. Use my real content and clearly mark missing information. Build one page first, then test before adding more.
Build an online store
Build a storefront for [products] with product photos, descriptions, prices, categories, cart and secure checkout. Add private order records and an admin area. Track inventory and shipping for physical goods. Calculate totals on the server and verify payment through signed provider events before marking an order paid. Include my shipping, return and refund policies. Use payment test mode first. Show which setup steps and platform features are still needed.
Sell a digital download
Build a product page for my [PDF, template or downloadable] with a preview, description and price. Use secure checkout and server verified payment. Keep the original file private and issue a time limited download link to the verified buyer. Add an order confirmation, customer access and an admin area. Test successful payment, failed payment, refund and unauthorized download access before launch.
Add AI inside your app
Use the OPENAI_API_KEY secret already saved in my Base44 Dashboard. Build a backend function for [one AI task]. Never expose or log the key in frontend code or responses. Require the right user permissions, validate input and add request limits and clear error states. Test with sample data. Tell me which Base44 plan and OpenAI API billing settings this feature needs.
Do I need an API key to get started?
Use ChatGPT to plan and Base44 to build without connecting an OpenAI key. If you want AI inside your app, create a project API key at OpenAI, set up API billing and save it in Base44’s Dashboard → Secrets as OPENAI_API_KEY. Use it only in a backend function. Never share it in a livestream, prompt or browser code. AI integrations require an eligible Base44 plan.

A few things to know
Can I build a Shopify style store?
You can build a custom storefront with products, a cart, checkout and order tools in Base44. Physical products need inventory, shipping and tax setup. Digital products need private files and verified delivery after payment. It takes configuration and testing; this does not promise every Shopify feature or app integration.
What does the Base44 referral link do?
Eligible new Base44 accounts get 30 bonus credits when they register using Renessa’s referral link. Renessa earns 30 credits when you publish your first app and send a message, and 100 credits if you upgrade to a paid plan. Bonus credits expire after 40 days. Base44 controls eligibility and terms.
Will this automatically email or text me?
Your download is available on this page after signup. Email and text update preferences are separate and optional. Joining the free community does not enroll you in a paid plan.
